15– Damit nun ein Wettstreit um Wohltaten sei bei allen, wenn sie
16wissen, dass auch das Volk, wie es ihm väterlicher Brauch ist, den
17einem jeden zukommenden Dank abstattet, zu Glück
18und Heil!, wolle beschließen der Rat: dass die Vorsitzenden, die
19erlost sein werden für die kommende Volksversammlung, hierüber
20verhandeln lassen und die Beschlussvorlage des Rates in die
21Volksversammlung einbringen, wonach der Rat es für gut befindet, dass man belobige
22Anakreon S.d. Nausikrates aus S- - und ihn bekrän-
23ze mit einem Olivenkranz wegen seiner Leistung und
24seines Ehrgeizes für den Rat und das Volk der
25Athener; dass er sein soll auch proxenos des Volkes
26sowie seine Nachkommen; dass sein soll für ihn
27und seine Nachkommen auch das Recht zum Erwerb von einem Haus im Wert
28von 3000 Dr., von Land (im Wert) von 2 Tal.; dass er, wenn er auch in
29Zukunft dieses Wohlwollen und diese - - -
30erweist, auch noch andere Auszeichnung finden wird bei
31dem Rat und dem Volk, deren er für würdig erachtet wird;
32dass diesen Beschluss der Sekretär, der während der
33Prytanie amtiert, aufzeichne auf eine steinerne Stele und aufstelle
34auf der Akropolis; dass die entstandenen Kosten für die
35Herstellung der Stele und die Weihung der Schatz-
36meister der Militärkasse und die Finanzverwalter

15In order therefore that there may be an incentive for all who
16know that the People, as is its ancestral custom,
17will also render to each commensurate thanks, for good
18fortune, the Council shall decide, that the presiding committee who
19are allotted for the forthcoming Assembly shall place
20these matters on the agenda, and submit the opinion of the Council
21to the People, that it seems good to the Council to praise
22Aristokreon son of Nausikrates of S- and crown
23him with a foliage crown for his [good will] and
24love of honour towards the Athenian Council and
25People; and he shall be proxenos of the
26People, and his descendants; and he shall also have,
27and his descendants, right of ownership of a house to the value of
283000 dr., and of land, 2 tal.; and if in the future
29he continues to display good will and [love of honour]
30he may obtain other benefits from
31the Council and the People, [whatever he may be deemed worthy of];
32and the prytany secretary shall inscribe
33this decree on a stone stele and stand it
34on the acropolis; and the treasurer of the military fund and
35the board of administrators shall allocate
36the expenditure accrued for the making and [setting up?] of
37the stele.
